The Vitamin D Working Group
Introduction:
The Vitamin D Workshop has a formal relationship with The American Society of Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) that will allow the Workshop to organize and present a Vitamin D Working Group in the evening of one of the days of the ASBMR Meeting. The purpose of the Vitamin D Working group is to gather together for 3 hours one evening all scientists attending the ASBMR that have an interest in vitamin D research. Each Working Group will present 3-4 Invited Talks of about 30 minutes duration and, in addition, schedule 3-4 ten minutes talks selected from Abstracts submitted to the ASBMR that focus on some aspect of vitamin D, but which are not selected for verbal presentation on the ASBMR program. The first Working Group was held in San Francisco in December 1998.
The 3rd Vitamin D Working Group was held on the evening of Friday (6:30 - 9:30 PM), September 23, 2005 at the 27th Annual Meeting of ASBMR in the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, TN.
